Season to start April 4.2024. Players retained in 2024 are Nestor Cortes in Delaware, Oneil Cruz & Max Fried in Las Vegas, Edwin Diaz in Massachusetts, Triston McKenzie & Vaughn Grissom in Nashville, Walker Buehler and Jacob deGrom in Oyster Bay.

2024 SEASON NEWS AND NOTES
Teams have until May 31 to pick up a player that will be eligible to stay on the team for the following season. After May 31, players are returned to the draft. Trade deadline is July 31. Rosters are frozen at that time. Please view traded picks before making trade involving draft picks click here. Checkout the WBL Constitution by "clicking" on Rule Book. RECAP HEADLINES
Tidbits from the WBL Tonight on ESPN, Peter Gammons talked A.L. baseball, round 1 went to Los Angeles as they knocked off Oklahoma in 5 games. with Aaron Judge leading the way. In round 2, the Lycans fell to the Seattle Jets in 6 games, as the Jets came back from a 2-1 deficit to win the last 3 games, outscoring LA 27-4 during the 3-game comeback. The Dayton Grits dominated the Jets in the ALCS, winning in 5 games and outscoring the Jets 44-9. Buster Olney talked N.L. baseball, the Delaware Devils swept the Nashville Classics in round 1, as the Devis try to repeat. The Atlantic City Surf ended the Devil run, knocking them off in 6 games. The Surf continued their run as they beat the Massachusetts Mayhem in 7 games. The Surf won the last 2 games, with Gerrit Cole pitching a complete game for the win in game 7. The World Series saw the Dayton Grits beat the AC Surf in 5 games. The Grits outscored the Surf 47-24 in the series as they closed out a dominating season, after winning 104 games during the regular season.
