28,777 fans watched an exciting game at Forbes Field.  The Tampa Bay Firestorm
topped the Oyster Bay Tomcats by the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
 
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings.  Finally, Tampa Bay pulled the
game out in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Jake McCarthy hit a
single scoring the run.  Tampa Bay had a total of 8 hits for the game.
 
Dedniel Nunez(1-0) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Mason Miller recorded the save, his 20th.  Cole Sands(2-2) took the loss in
relief.  He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in
his 1 inning of work.

In a close game the Las Vegas Aces got by the Seattle Jets by the score of 4
to 2.
 
Michael King(10-5) pitched a solid game.  He allowed 6 hits and 5 walks in 7
innings.  King recorded 9 strikeouts.  Las Vegas had 7 hits for the
afternoon.  
 
Michael Kopech got the save, his 2nd.  Grayson Rodriguez(4-6) ended up with
the loss.  'He gutted it out' Zach Lancia said of King.  'I was very
impressed by his tenacity.'
 
DAYTON(37-52) AT PHILADELPHIA(45-42)

Third baseman Alec Bohm launched 2 homeruns and Porter Hodge came through with
a solid 3 innings as the Philadelphia Freedom bested the ice-cold Dayton
Grits in 10 innings 8 to 6 at Freedom Park.
 
Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings.  Philadelphia came out
the victor in the 10th inning.  Shohei Ohtani began things off when he
clubbed a two-run home run making Philadelphia the victor and beginning a
joyous home town celebration.  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.  
 
Hodge(4-3) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Tony Santillan(2-4)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He was unable to retire a batter giving
up 1 hit and no walks.
