In a startling finish the Oklahoma Missilemen staged a comeback then held on
to win over the Philadelphia Freedom by a score of 6 to 4 at Freedom
Park.
 
Oklahoma scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs on 2 hits.  After an out was recorded, Logan O'Hoppe began things off
when he blasted a solo shot.  Brendan Donovan followed and he was hit by a
pitch.  One out later, Kenley Jansen then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a
passed ball.  Ronald Acuna stepped in and he drew a walk.  Acuna was safe on
a stolen base.  J.J. Bleday extended the rally and ripped a one-base hit
which was good for two more runs.  Bleday took second on the throw.  Oklahoma
totaled 10 hits on the night.  
 
The winning pitcher was Tayler Scott(2-2) who allowed no runs in 2 and 2/3
innings. Scott got help from Josh Hader who earned his 1st save.  Carmen
Mlodzinski(2-1) was the loser in relief.  He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit in 2
innings.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto had an impressive outing and Jose Ramirez had 4 hits and 5
RBI as the Las Vegas Aces outscored the Tampa Bay Firestorm 7 to 0.
 
It was a good day for Las Vegas thanks to Ramirez.  He launched a three-run
homer in the 1st inning, banged out a single in the 4th inning, laced a
one-base hit in the 6th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 8th
inning.  Michael Kopech was perfect in relief and got the save, his 1st.
 
Yamamoto(4-0) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. The loss was charged
to Bryan Woo(1-2).  He gave up 6 runs and 6 hits in 7 and 2/3 innings.  
 
'I felt great out there today,' Ramirez said, 'Maybe I should make a regular
habit of getting to bed on time!'

The Oyster Bay Tomcats edged the Nashville Classics at Fed Ex Field by the
score of 3 to 2.
 
Luis Ortiz(3-1) pitched a fine game.  He went 8 innings allowing 6 hits and 2
walks.  Jake Junis pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 3rd save.  
 
Jared Jones(1-1) was given the loss.  He pitched 7 innings allowing 4 hits and
3 walks.
 
DELAWARE(7-11) AT LOS ANGELES(7-10)

The Delaware Devils and the Los Angeles Lycans locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Hollywood Park.  The final score was the Delaware Devils 5,
the Los Angeles Lycans 4.
 
Hunter Brown(2-1) was credited with the win in a less than impressive
performance.  He gave up 4 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.  Los Angeles went down
without a fight in the bottom of the 9th.  
 
Brown got relief help from Ryan Walker who gained credit for his 2nd save.
Ronel Blanco(1-3) was hit with the loss.  He gave up 5 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.  
 
'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Brown said,
'this was one of those times.'
 
SEATTLE(11-6) AT GOTHAM(8-9)

47,955 fans were treated to a fine game at Arkham Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Gotham Knights won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
 
Gotham brought 3 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning with
the help of 3 hits.  Salvador Perez led off and started the attack as he
delivered a one-base hit.  Matt Chapman dug into the batters box next, but he
struck out.  One out later, Luke Raley then stroked a single.  Brice Turang
followed and he belted a three-run homer.  Seattle proved to be no trouble in
the 9th.  
 
Kevin Kelly(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Griffin
Jax recorded his 2nd save.  Eli Morgan(0-1) was charged with the loss in
relief.

The Atlantic City Surf and the Dayton Grits locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Seaside Park.  The final score was the Atlantic City Surf 5, the
Dayton Grits 4.
 
Atlantic City erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning with 2
runs.  Fernando Tatis Jr led off and got things going when he drew a walk.
After an out was recorded, Lars Nootbaar stepped up to the plate and he drew
a walk.  Jose Altuve then drew a walk to load the bases.  Xander Bogaerts
followed and he reached on an error resulting in a run.  Alex Bregman came to
the plate and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning.  This
was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.
 
The victory went to Trevor Megill(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Kirby Yates preserved the game for Megill, recording his his 6th save.
Matt Strahm(1-1) suffered the loss in relief.

Luis Arraez had 2 base hits at B.C. Place where the Vancouver Flames beat the
Massachusetts Mayhem by the score of 5 to 2.
 
Vancouver came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.  After an out
was recorded, Arraez jump-started the rally as he drew a walk.  Ivan Herrera
followed and he doubled.  Josh Naylor then hit a deep fly which scored a run.
Colton Cowser stepped in and he cracked a two-run shot.  Hunter Gaddis(1-1)
got help from Bryan Hudson who pitched great and earned his 3rd save.
 
Edwin Diaz(1-2) ended up with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings giving up no hits and 1 walk.
