Camilo Doval was the victor and first baseman Luke Raley homered and had 3 RBI
at Freedom Park as the Gotham Knights pulled off a dramatic comeback beating
the Philadelphia Freedom by the count of 6 to 5.
 
Gotham won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 2 runs
using 2 hits.  Andres Gimenez led off and started the attack as he doubled.
Two outs later Mike Trout came up and he clubbed a two-run home run.  Gotham
had only 6 hits for the night.  
 
Doval(5-7) got the win allowing no runs in 3 innings. Carmen Mlodzinski(4-5)
was hit with the loss in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning and surrendered
2 hits and no walks.
 
'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Raley said. 'If you just
keep trying good things can happen!'
 
SEATTLE AT OYSTER BAY

Right fielder Will Benson had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Oyster Bay Tomcats came
back to win one over Seattle Jets, 7 to 6.
 
Oyster Bay scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 3 runs
on 3 base hits.  Ryan McMahon led off the inning for Oyster Bay when he drew
a walk.  After an out was recorded, Benson came to bat and blasted a two-run
home run.  J.P. Crawford then was hit by a pitch.  Shawn Armstrong then
picked Crawford off first base.  Harold Ramirez stepped into the box and
doubled.  Johan Rojas added to the outburst and was walked intentionally.
Willy Adames stepped into the batter's box and he drew a walk to load the
bases.  Ha-Seong Kim then stroked a single giving Oyster Bay the win and
sending the home town fans into a frenzy.  Seattle out-hit Oyster Bay 15 to
11, but Oyster Bay ended up with more runs.  
 
Keaton Winn(3-10) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Armstrong(0-4) was the loser in relief.  He saw his ERA jump from 2.70 to
3.18 as gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning.  
 
'We just wouldn't give up,' Benson said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans
- they were with us the whole way.'
 
NASHVILLE AT LAS VEGAS

16,524 fans were treated to a fine game at MGM Grand Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Nashville Classics won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
Las Vegas was unable to claim the lead after Nashville went ahead in the 7th
inning scoring a single run using 2 hits.  Nashville had 8 hits for the
night.  
 
The victory was credited to Brandon Williamson(13-3) who went 7 innings,
allowing 1 run. Jeff Hoffman gained credit for his 40th save.  The loss was
charged to Luis Castillo(13-17).  
 
 
LOS ANGELES AT MASSACHUSETTS

Ryan Mountcastle smashed 2 homeruns at Mass Mayhem Mall as the dominant
Massachusetts Mayhem beat the Los Angeles Lycans by the count of 4 to
3.
 
Mountcastle helped send the fans home happy.  He hit a bases-empty home run in
the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit in the 3rd inning and cracked a solo
homerun in the 5th inning.  Los Angeles threatened in the 9th but their rally
came up short.  
 
Zac Gallen(19-8) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Yennier
Cano got the save, his 24th.  Julio Urias(12-15) ended up with the loss.  He
served up 3 gopher balls in 7 and 2/3 innings.  
 
'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Gallen said,
'this was one of those times.'
 
ATLANTIC CITY AT DAYTON

In a thrilling finish the Dayton Grits won in dramatic fashion coming back to
beat the Atlantic City Surf by the count of 5 to 4.
 
Dayton came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring
5 runners on 5 hits.  The key at-bat was by Austin Riley who made the crowd
happy when he popped a two-run clout over the fence.  Dayton finished with
just 6 hits in the victory.  
 
Will Smith(7-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Felix
Bautista(7-4) suffered the loss in relief.  He surrendered 1 hit and no walks
without retiring a batter.  
 
Smith and Brandon Lowe were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the
great come from behind victory.  As Jeff Chaput noted, 'A win like this one
can do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans,
the players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
 
TAMPA BAY AT OKLAHOMA

Cristian Javier retired 11 batters on strikeouts and center fielder James
Outman knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Oklahoma Missilemen bested the
reeling Tampa Bay Firestorm 13 to 4 at Target Field.
 
Outman enjoyed a great evening at the plate.  He slapped a one-base hit in the
1st inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and
belted a three-run homer in the 5th inning.  Oklahoma had 15 hits for the
game and Tampa Bay had 11.  
 
The winning pitcher was Javier(5-10) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Kodai
Senga(10-11) was given the loss.  He served up 3 homeruns in his 1 inning.
 
Brian Tomkowicz was asked about the performance of Javier, 'He had his good
stuff out there tonight.  The fans really get into it when the strikeouts
start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
 
DELAWARE AT VANCOUVER

In a good matchup it was the Vancouver Flames 5, the Delaware Devils 3 at B.C.
Place.
 
Vancouver tallied 3 runs in the 7th inning.  The biggest moment was provided
by Travis D'Arnaud who excited the crowd when he lost the ball over the fence
for three runs.  Vancouver managed only 5 hits on the night.  
 
The victory went to Bobby Miller(9-19) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Ryan Helsley recorded the save, his 38th.  Domingo German(11-8) was hit with
the loss.
