Juan Soto knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Massachusetts Mayhem
defeated the Seattle Jets in 14 innings by the score of 11 to 8 at Pilot
Stadium.
Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Massachusetts
prevailed in the 14th inning. Masyn Winn opened up the rally as he lined a
base-hit scoring a single run. Winn took second on the throw. Two outs
later Soto stepped in and he clubbed a two-run home run. The game was a wild
affair with the lead changing hands 7 times.
Yennier Cano(5-3) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. The losing
pitcher was Justin Slaten(4-6) in relief. He was knocked around,
surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.

Designated hitter Marcell Ozuna went yard and had 3 RBI at Forbes Field as the
Oklahoma Missilemen beat the Oyster Bay Tomcats 7 to 5.
Oklahoma brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning when
they came up with 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Ozuna who deflated
the mood of the partisan fans when he clubbed a three-run home run. Oklahoma
had 12 hits for the game and Oyster Bay had 8.
Corbin Burnes(13-22) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 5 runs. Robert Garcia recorded the save, his 1st. The loss was
charged to Joey Estes(6-16). He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 3 walks
in 5 and 2/3 innings.
'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Brian Tomkowicz said after the game. 'Burnes did not have
command of his pitches most of the night, but he proved he really knew how to
pitch!'

Third baseman Matt Chapman went deep and had 3 RBI at Freedom Park as the very
talented Gotham Knights beat the Philadelphia Freedom by the count of 5 to
3.
Gotham came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 2
hits. After an out was recorded, Jake Fraley jump-started the rally as he
ripped a base-knock. Derek Hill was next to the plate, but was promptly
struck out. Chapman then cleared the fences for a two-run home run.
Philadelphia proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
The win was credited to Manuel Rodriguez(8-2) who went 3 innings allowing no
runs. Sam Moll(3-4) ended up with the loss in relief.

At Fed Ex Field, the Nashville fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Zach
Eflin(12-10) finally bested his Nashville opposite, Bailey Ober(11-12), by
the score of 2 to 0.
Nashville was unable to climb back into it after Dayton went ahead for good in
the top of the 4th inning scoring a single run utilizing 3 base hits. Dayton
had 8 hits for the night.
Eflin got relief help from Matt Strahm who gained credit for his 7th save.
Ober was the loser. He gave up 2 runs and 6 hits in 6 innings.
DELAWARE(79-82) AT LAS VEGAS(88-73)

Shea Langeliers had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Las Vegas Aces defeated the
ice-cold Delaware Devils 6 to 0 at MGM Grand Field.
Las Vegas did all the necessary damage in the 7th inning when they came up
with 6 runs on 6 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Langeliers who
made the crowd happy when he tripled with all three runners coming home.
Delaware was out-hit by Las Vegas, 12 hits to 7.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto(17-11) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the win. Logan
Webb(16-17) was given the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 2 walks in 6
and 1/3 innings.

In a dramatic ending the Tampa Bay Firestorm staged a comeback and held on to
win over the Los Angeles Lycans by the count of 7 to 6.
Tampa Bay had the game winning rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs on 2
base hits. After an out was recorded, Luis Rengifo initiated the scoring
spurt when he delivered a base-hit. Yainer Diaz stepped into the batter's
box and he drew a walk. Rengifo proceeded to steal third base. Daniel
Coulombe then uncorked a wild one that found its way to the backstop which
plated a run. Nolan Schanuel came up to bat and stroked a single scoring the
final run of the inning. This was the kind of game that many fans love as
the lead changed hands 5 times.
The winning pitcher was Joe Mantiply(5-3) who allowed 1 run in 2 and 1/3
innings. Coulombe(2-3) took the loss in relief. 'The only way this one could
have been better', said Mantiply, 'was if we had played it at home.'

Catcher William Contreras cracked a homer and had 2 RBI at B.C. Place where
the seemingly unstoppable Atlantic City Surf beat the Vancouver Flames 4 to
3.
Gerrit Cole(16-4) pitched well enough to earn the win. He was reached for 9
hits and 1 walk in 5 and 1/3 innings. Cole racked up 8 strikeouts. Although
they lost, Vancouver did out-hit Atlantic City 11 to 6.
Kirby Yates earned his 59th save. Spencer Schwellenbach(15-11) suffered the
loss. 'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I
thought it was nothing.' Cole said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I
couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
