Left fielder Teoscar Hernandez blasted a homerun as the Philadelphia Freedom
outscored the Oklahoma Missilemen 5 to 4.
 
Philadelphia came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had
3 base hits.  The highlight belonged to Tyler Fitzgerald who made the
home-town crowd a happy bunch when he smashed a two-run homer.  A wild and
woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.  
 
Carmen Mlodzinski(2-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Kenley Jansen recorded his 1st save.  Tayler Scott(1-2) was charged with the
loss in relief.  
 
The Philadelphia ballclub's record now stands at 10-6. With the loss Oklahoma
now has a record of 6-10.

Brent Rooker had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Tampa Bay Firestorm topped the Las
Vegas Aces by a score of 4 to 3 at MGM Grand Field.
 
Tampa Bay won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning.  Miguel Rojas
lined a one-base hit.  Victor Robles was next and he laid down a sacrifice
bunt.  Rooker then delivered a base-hit.  Tyler O'Neill came up and he
slapped a base-hit scoring the run.  Tampa Bay had 11 hits overall, while Las
Vegas had 8.  
 
Raisel Iglesias(3-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. The losing
pitcher was Bryse Wilson(0-1) in relief.  He surrendered 4 hits and no walks
in 2 and 2/3 innings.

In an exciting finish the Nashville Classics pulled out a win over the Oyster
Bay Tomcats by a score of 3 to 2 at Fed Ex Field.
 
The game was won by Nashville with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Spencer Steer doubled.  Two outs later Juan Yepez came to the plate and
doubled giving Nashville the victory and sending the 38,466 home-town fans
home happy.  Nashville totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Ryan Thompson(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. A.J. Puk(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and 1
walk in 1 and 2/3 innings.
 
DELAWARE(6-11) AT LOS ANGELES(7-9)

At Hollywood Park the Delaware Devils registered 4 runs in the 7th inning and
easily handled the Los Angeles Lycans by the score of 8 to 4.
 
Delaware scored 4 runs in the decisive top of the 7th inning with the help of
3 hits.  The key at-bat was by Willson Contreras who silenced the crowd when
he belted a three-run homer.  Overall Delaware out-hit Los Angeles 10 to 7.
 
Jason Foley(1-0) went 2 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Tyler
Glasnow(2-2) was hit with the loss.  He struck out 9 batters in 6 and 2/3
innings despite losing the game.  
 
 
SEATTLE(11-5) AT GOTHAM(7-9)

Jordan Westburg ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Seth Lugo went 6 solid
innings as the Seattle Jets defeated the Gotham Knights 5 to 2 at Arkham
Stadium.
 
Westburg enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He blasted a solo shot in the
5th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 9th inning.
Gotham was out-hit by Seattle, 9 hits to 4.  
 
The victory went to Lugo(2-0) who went 6 innings, allowing no runs. Justin
Slaten got the save, his 4th.  Nick Pivetta(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  
 
 
DAYTON(6-10) AT ATLANTIC CITY(8-8)

One run was the difference at Seaside Park as the Dayton Grits defeated the
Atlantic City Surf in 10 innings 6 to 5.
 
The score was tied at 5 after nine.  Dayton came out on top in the 10th
inning.  After an out was recorded, David Peralta lined a base-hit.  Stott
swiped second base.  Alec Burleson then singled scoring the run.  Dayton
banged out 8 hits on the night.  
 
Shelby Miller(2-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Carlos
Estevez gained credit for his 4th save.  Jorge Alcala(1-1) was tagged with
the loss in relief.  
 
 
MASSACHUSETTS(7-8) AT VANCOUVER(7-9)

Luis Garcia hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI at B.C. Place as the Vancouver Flames
beat the Massachusetts Mayhem by the count of 6 to 3.
 
Vancouver took the lead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning scoring 2
runners on 3 hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Josh Naylor who made
the crowd come alive when he clubbed a two-run home run.  Both teams ended up
with 9 hits on the night.  
 
Spencer Schwellenbach(2-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Schwellenbach got help from Bryan Hudson who was credited
with his 2nd save.  George Kirby(2-3) suffered the loss.  His ERA ballooned
from 4.98 to 5.33 as he allowed 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
